1881 pour Femme is the eau de toilette Cerruti launched in Europe in 1995, five years after 1881 pour Homme. A woody floral built around a linen flower note, Nino Cerruti’s flower: mimosa, freesia and violet at the top, a heart of jasmine, orange blossom and chamomile, a base of sandalwood, amber and musk, in a round bottle encircled by a silver band.

A top of yellow flowers and violet
Bergamot accompanies mimosa, freesia and violet at the top, the three flowers the house highlights. Perfume Intelligence hears a crisp fruity floral in it, Osmoz a green, almost metallic opening.
A floral, herbal heart
Jasmine and orange blossom, according to the house, evoke the touch of linen worn next to the body. Rose, iris, narcissus and tuberose surround them, with chamomile, geranium and galbanum, which tint the heart with a herbal nuance.
A soft, woody base
Sandalwood, cedar and amber form the base, with musk and vanilla. Osmoz places the linen flower there, where it melts into the warmth of the sandalwood.
What the label declares
The label opens with alcohol, fragrance and water. Three UV filters come early in the list, a fourth further on, along with BHT, an antioxidant.
The declared allergens are limonene, hydroxycitronellal, alpha-isomethyl ionone, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, geraniol, citronellol, coumarin, cinnamyl alcohol and citral. Propylene glycol, an acrylates copolymer and hydrolysed jojoba esters complete the formula, with five colourants: two reds, an orange, a yellow and a blue.
