Hugo Boss classifies Boss Bottled Striking Lavender among the woody fougères; Wikiparfum places it among the aromatic fougères. The composition rests on lavender, in two essences, and on a moss accord.

Top, heart and base

At the top, a white lavender essence brings a bright, herbaceous opening with a clean, mineral freshness. The blue lavender essence takes the heart and broadens the signature with aromatic elegance; in the base, an earthy, dry moss accord gives it structure.

What the label declares

After alcohol, fragrance and water, the list opens with two synthetic woods, an ambery wood and acetyl cedrene, with cedar accents. Linalyl acetate and lavender oil appear among the first materials, along with lemon oil and linalool.

Sclareol, derived from clary sage, geranium oil, patchouli oil and Ceylon cinnamon bark appear further down. Two UV filters and a stabilizer protect the liquid; four colorants give it its tint.
