Baccarat Rouge 540

Baccarat Rouge 540 is the eau de parfum Francis Kurkdjian composed in 2014 for the 250th anniversary of the Baccarat crystal works, before taking it into his own house in 2016. Its name recalls the 540 °C that turns the crystal red. The house describes a floral amber woody fragrance built on three auras: jasmine and saffron, an ambergris accord carried by Ambroxan, and ethyl maltol for the gourmand accent.

Numbered Baccarat crystal in 2014, the house’s square glass bottle since 2016, red crystal for the 2025 Édition Millésime.

The first Baccarat Rouge 540, in 2014, came in a Baccarat crystal bottle produced in 250 numbered copies. The design takes up a 1940s drawing by Georges Chevalier, artistic director of the crystal works, inspired by its diamond cut; a red crystal pipette came with each bottle.

Since 2016, the eau de parfum has come in Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s square, clear glass bottle, in 35, 70 and 200 ml. The house offers to engrave it on the side, in gold or silver lettering; the extrait de parfum stands out with a red bottle.

In 2025, the Édition Millésime returned to crystal: a red bottle and its clear crystal imprint, which, according to the house, required five hundred hours of work by nineteen Baccarat artisans. The house presents it as the first bottle of its kind fitted with a spray.
