Angel Muse by Mugler Thierry Mugler is a visionary and bold creator who made his perfumery debut in 1992 with the creation of the famous fragrance Angel. Very quickly, it became a true legend of perfumery.
Released in 2016, Angel Muse is a variation on the very famous fragrance Angel, the first gourmand fragrance in the history of perfumery, released in 1992. While Angel Muse has kept the gourmand touch of its elder, it is nevertheless much more seductive and eccentric. Angel Muse is considered a stroke of genius from the talented Thierry Mugler. Both glamorous and bold, the fragrance Angel Muse is completely unexpected. Once again, Thierry Mugler is where one would not expect him.
Quentin Bisch revisits Thierry Mugler's star fragrance Angel
In order to revisit Angel, the house Mugler chose perfumer Quentin Bisch. Born in Strasbourg in 1983, Quentin Bisch lived in London from the age of 5. Among the scents of his childhood, he recalls the smell of freshly baked cookies. After working as an assistant perfumer, Quentin Bisch successfully completed courses at the Givaudan school. In 2013, he created his first fragrance, Essence de Réminiscence by Réminiscence, which brought him to the attention of the general public. Today, Quentin Bisch is a perfumer at Givaudan. He is behind such beautiful fragrances as Ambre Impérial by Van Cleef & Arpels and Le Mâle Essence de Parfum by Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Mugler and its fragrance Angel Muse: gourmand character is no longer a vice
Angel Muse has managed to keep the gourmand magic of its elder. Quentin Bisch opens his composition with the tangy, fresh note of grapefruit, heightened by pink pepper. The earliest traces of grapefruit are found in Asia, about 4,000 years ago. Grapefruit is the fruit of the grapefruit tree, whose size ranges from 10 to 30 cm in diameter. Seeds were introduced to Barbados in the 17th century. By 1750, grapefruit was found in Jamaica, before establishing itself along the trade route through the Antilles. Grapefruit was introduced to Florida in 1800. In perfumery, grapefruit essence is obtained by cold expression of the fruit's peel. Grapefruit gives off tonalities that are at once tangy, fresh, sweet and zesty. Then, the heart of Angel Muse is a concentrate of gourmand character, combining hazelnut and vetiver, a pairing never before attempted in perfumery. It is even said that Angel Muse is the first gourmand vetiver. Originally from Asia Minor, the hazel is a shrub that has managed to conquer the world. The hazelnut is a nut prized for its very delicate flavor. The hazel tree thrives greatly by the sea or in regions with an oceanic climate. Hazelnuts are eaten as is, but they also fit wonderfully into many culinary recipes. In perfumery, the hazelnut accord is reproduced synthetically by the perfumer. Hazelnut offers dry, almondy and delicate scents. Finally, the base of Angel Muse is sensual, combining vanilla, patchouli and cocoa for one final gourmand touch. The bottle naturally echoes the main codes of its elder. Thierry Mugler's lucky star comes, for the occasion, in a most gourmand amber hue.
