Ange ou Démon is the eau de parfum for women launched by Givenchy in 2006, signed by Olivier Cresp and Jean-Pierre Béthouart. This floral oriental sets the mandarin, white thyme and saffron of its top against a heart of orange blossom, lily and ylang-ylang, and rests on a base of tonka bean and oakwood, in a cut bottle designed by Serge Mansau.
A glass bottle cut like a pendant, designed by the sculptor Serge Mansau, shading from black to clear.
The bottle of Ange ou Démon is the work of Serge Mansau (1930-2019), a French sculptor who designed many bottles for the great perfume houses. Givenchy describes it as a pendant cut like a prism, inspired by a drop of water.
The faceted glass shades from deep black at the tapered top to clear at the base. A column of drops engraved on the back of the bottle shows through the glass, between the name of the fragrance and that of the house.
