Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice

Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice, the legend in a more gourmand version. The story of the house of Cacharel begins in 1958, when Jean Bousquet left Nîmes to move to Paris and set up an artisanal clothing boutique for women. While the beginning did not particularly stand out, it was mainly from 1963 onward that the house of Cacharel made a name for itself, notably through the use of crinkled cotton. The first fragrance, Anaïs Anaïs, was launched in 1978.

Released in 2014, Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice is a revisit of Cacharel's iconic essence, Anaïs Anaïs. When the fragrance Anaïs Anaïs was released in 1985, its success was immediate and overwhelming. At once sensual and shy, Anaïs Anaïs transformed the lives of countless young women. The floral blend is so romantic that the fragrance is truly moving. Today, Cacharel has decided to offer its fans a new moment of joy by revisiting its star fragrance into an essence that remains just as romantic, but far more gourmand than the original.

Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice, a duo of perfumers revisits the Cacharel legend

To revisit its star fragrance, the house of Cacharel chose a talented duo of perfumers, namely Olivier Cresp and Dora Baghriche-Arnaud. Olivier Cresp was born in Grasse, into a family of growers. After spending 12 years at the company Quest, Olivier Cresp joined Firmenich in 1992. Although Olivier Cresp was thrust into the spotlight thanks to Angel by Thierry Mugler, he is nonetheless regarded as a genius. Dora Baghriche-Arnaud also grew up in Grasse, although she was born in Algiers. Dora Baghriche-Arnaud is likewise part of the Firmenich company. She enjoys creating rare perfumes, and when asked which scents remind her of childhood memories, she states: lemon blossom, orange blossom, Mediterranean gardens. Dora Baghriche-Arnaud is also behind beautiful perfumes such as Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent.

Olfactory gourmand character at the heart of Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice

Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice opens with energizing, sweet notes, namely bergamot, orange and pear. Originating in Central Asia and appearing more than 4,000 years ago, pear reached Europe as early as the 16th century, and Louis XIV popularized it in his gardens. The Greeks were so fond of pears that Homer called it the gift of the Gods. Today there are more than 2,000 varieties of pear. In perfumery, pear is reproduced with great accuracy, mainly through the headspace technique. Pear releases tangy, fruity, sweet and green facets. Then, the heart of Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice is thoroughly feminine, romantic and elegant, combining lily, peony, freesia and jasmine. The name freesia was given to a plant in 1830, in honor of a German physician named Freese. Native to South Africa, freesia is a bulb flower with vivid, sparkling colors. In perfumery, freesia releases powerful, highly floral and jasmine-like facets. Finally, the base of Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice is as sensual as it is gourmand, combining white musks, cocoa, caramel, vanilla and ambroxan. Gentle and poetic, the bottle echoes the main codes of its predecessor. It features clear glass that reveals the pinkish-orange color of the precious nectar.
