Sindbad
Sindbad is an Essence de Parfum at 30% concentration signed by Pierre Negrin for Amouage, an Omani house, launched in 2025 as part of The Essences collection in limited edition. The juice was macerated in oak barrels and then infused with sandalwood chips, a process that marks its woody construction. Its pyramid unfolds fruity and spicy top notes, a heart built around cappuccino, black tea and davana, and a deep base blending tonka bean, vanilla, cedar, labdanum, cypriol, vetiver and patchouli.

Sindbad is presented by Amouage, an Omani house, as a limited edition of The Essences collection in 2025. The bottle, a collector’s design, is distributed exclusively in Oman. The fragrance is the work of perfumer Pierre Negrin. Its creation relies on a particular process: the juice was macerated in oak barrels, then infused with sandalwood chips, a method that brings the perfume-making process closer to the aging techniques used in distilling and that imprints the result with a specific woody signature.
The top notes combine honey, apricot, pomegranate, mandarin, mango and grapefruit with cardamom, ginger and pink pepper, forming a bouquet that is at once fruity, sweet and spicy, with great aromatic density. The heart articulates cappuccino, whose roasted and milky facets engage in dialogue with the vegetal bitterness of black tea and the fruity-herbaceous nuances of davana, with its fruity accents. The base rests on tonka bean and vanilla for sweetness, cedar for woody dryness, labdanum for its balsamic and amber resonances, cypriol for its earthy and smoky facets, vetiver for its rooty depth, and patchouli for its dark, camphoraceous texture.
