Versace pour Homme is a 2008 eau de toilette, composed by Alberto Morillas with Donatella Versace. An aromatic fougère built on Mediterranean ingredients, it opens on bergamot, neroli, Diamante citron and bitter orange leaves, moves through geranium, clary sage and blue hyacinth, and ends on oud wood, mineral amber, cedar, tonka and musk.
Kevin, on Now Smell This, judged Versace pour Homme conventional in 2008: an opening of tart, powdery citrus, a lovely candied citrus note that briefly lifts him out of boredom, and a light musk base.
What critics say
Now Smell This: a single lovely note
Kevin, on October 30, 2008, smelled the fragrance open on tart, talc-like citrus, with a watery, almost marine note. He was about to sigh with boredom when a candied citrus note, convincingly natural, appeared.
The base slides into a light musk, without surprise. He judges the fragrance conventional and concludes that one good note cannot save a fragrance.
