A duo of talented perfumers behind the composition of Valentina
Valentina is a sumptuous bouquet of white flowers created by Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp. Born in Grasse, the paradise of perfumers, Olivier Cresp grew up among the scents of flowers. He began his career in 1975 at the company Quest before joining Firmenich. The son of rose growers, Olivier Cresp loves working with raw materials. Genuine in his approach, Olivier Cresp treats every new project as a hugely important challenge. He is responsible for great fragrances such as Nina by Nina Ricci and Noa by Cacharel. Alberto Morillas was born in Seville and is said to be a self-made man. Indeed, when it comes to perfumery, Alberto Morillas learned everything on his own. In 2003, he was recognized for his talent and received the François Coty award for best perfumer. Alberto Morillas is also the creator of numerous perfumes, such as Ck One by Calvin Klein and Acqua Di Gio by Armani.
White flowers at the heart of Valentina's composition
Valentina is considered a floriental fragrance with an Italian touch. Its composition takes flight in a bold way with white truffle from Alba. This is a species of ascomycete fungus, much larger and more expensive than black truffle. Very rarely used in perfumery, white truffle gives off a very powerful and captivating aroma. Here, it is paired with the dynamic freshness of bergamot. The heart of Valentina is filled with magnificent white flowers, such as jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose. All three are flowers that grow in Mediterranean countries and offer an extraordinary luminosity. The base is both amber and woody, combining cedarwood with amber, lending the whole a delicate sensuality. Its surprising and sophisticated composition mirrors the bottle.
