Amber Orchid

Founded in Halifax by Barb Stegemann, the Canadian house The 7 Virtues launched Amber Orchid in September 2026 at Sephora and on its own website. The fragrance reached Europe on September 16, as a 50 and 10 milliliter eau de parfum.

A warm floral from the 90s

The house presents Amber Orchid as its first warm floral, at a time when gourmands, which it made its specialty with Vanilla Woods, dominate the market. Barb Stegemann says she wore and loved the big warm florals of the 90s, which she wanted to make lighter and easier to wear every day.

She says she reimagined the sensual night-time perfume of that decade with a modern twist, and sees in it the return of a romantic era. The golden apple, in her view, brings the playful note that is part of the house’s DNA, and vanilla remains present, as in each of its perfumes.

What the house says

The house claims twenty-two percent perfume oils and a vegan, hypoallergenic formula that meets the Clean at Sephora standard. Thanks to what it calls its Harmony Molecule, its perfumes can be layered with one another to compose a personal scent.

The house calls the fragrance genderless. ÇaFleurBon credits the composition to Kamilla Lelakova, while The 7 Virtues names no perfumer.
