Amber Orchid

Amber Orchid is the eau de parfum The 7 Virtues launched in September 2026, the Canadian house’s first warm floral. A golden apple opens onto magnolia and vanilla orchid, set on a base of amber, creamy sandalwood, vanilla, musk and suede, with Iso E Super among the listed notes.

Olya Bar, writing for ÇaFleurBon, finds in Amber Orchid the big warm florals of her youth, revisited for today: a golden apple that recalls apple pie and a generous vanilla with a slightly salty edge.

What critics say

Olya Bar, ÇaFleurBon, September 2026

Olya Bar remembers the floral she wore in 1998 and sees Amber Orchid as a perfume written in the same key. She finds not a reissue in it but the decade revisited by an eye that knows what warm florals had to lose to feel current again.

She judges that Barb Stegemann pulled off this translation and made it truly delicious. The florals, in her view, frame a basket of golden apples ready to become a pie, somewhere between a dessert indulgence and the flirtation of an appletini.

On her skin, the vanilla comes across as generous, almost indulgent, with the slight salty edge she looks for in every perfume from the house, and ends like a melting scoop of vanilla ice cream. She notes that the brand gifted her the bottle.
