Composed by Jean-Paul Guerlain and launched in 2007 as a limited edition, Spiritueuse Double Vanille later joined L’Art & La Matière. This woody ambery fragrance pushes a Madagascan vanilla to excess, with rum, cedar, benzoin, jasmine and ylang-ylang, over a top of pink pepper, bergamot and incense.
The L’Art & La Matière bottle, inspired by Guerlain’s 1870 square bottle, comes from the workshops of Pochet du Courval, the house’s historic glassmaker.
Spiritueuse Double Vanille is sold in the bottle of the L’Art & La Matière collection. The house says it is inspired by its 1870 square bottle and made by Pochet du Courval, Guerlain’s historic glassmaker, for an object of unisex, modern sophistication.
Guerlain offers to personalize this bottle by choosing among several combinations, and to have it engraved. It comes in fifty, one hundred and two hundred milliliters; in 2008, the limited edition sold in seventy-five milliliters, according to Robin Krug.
