Surprising, this fragrance was reserved for knowledgeable consumers and had what it took to confuse more than one of them… Yet its success was meteoric, so much so that Black Orchid is still sold today. Black Orchid gets a new golden bottle

Just like the first Black Orchid, and as its name suggests, this perfume draws inspiration from a black orchid. It pays tribute to a flower specially created for Tom Ford, inspiring admiration as much as mystery. After all, does not what is rare become more precious? Black Orchid is a floral and fruity juice, designed for an intriguing and seductive woman. It opens on a fresh, effervescent blend of bitter orange and bergamot. Then it quickly darkens on contact with black truffle. For added exoticism, Tom Ford adds narcotic ylang-ylang. This is when the soft flesh of plum wraps around the whole with its juicy breath. Soaked in rum, it only becomes more intoxicating. Little by little, the sensuality of this perfume is heightened by the presence of vanilla. The base of Black Orchid also becomes woodier, containing rich, creamy patchouli. Simply put, Tom Ford's Black Orchid takes up all the major ingredients of its first 2006 version, while amplifying them and making them more vibrant.
