Black Orchid Parfum, launched by Tom Ford in 2020, is the most concentrated version of Black Orchid, the house’s first fragrance. Its ylang-ylang is amplified and its rum absolute and black plum gain more relief, around an opening of truffle and a base of patchouli, in a bottle that is gold all over, from plaque to cap.

Tom Ford launched Black Orchid Parfum in September 2020, fourteen years after the 2006 Black Orchid eau de parfum, his first signature fragrance and the first creation of Tom Ford Beauty. The house presents this new concentration as the most concentrated version of Black Orchid ever made.

The elusive orchid

Black Orchid was born of Tom Ford’s attraction to the unattainable and his fascination with the black orchid, the most elusive of flowers. The designer says he was searching for the perfect flower, luxurious, elegant, pure and sophisticated, and the house had one created for him alone.

An amplified concentration

According to the house, the Parfum heightens the sensuality of the original: its narcotic ylang-ylang is amplified, while the rum absolute and black plum become more pronounced, for a greater presence of the formula’s precious essential oils.

How it is presented today

The house describes the black orchid as the most elusive and darkest of flowers, which the Parfum carries to new heights of seduction, around a signature of ylang-ylang flowers dipped in golden rum.
