Where to buy

Although the house of Scherrer distanced itself from this great designer over financial differences, it remains no less grateful for what the artist brought to fashion. Thus it was decided to create One Love in 2015 as a tribute to Jean-Louis Scherrer and to his so sensual and feminine perfumes.

One Love, or the house of Scherrer's vibrant tribute to its creator...

Although the house of Scherrer ended its collaboration with its founder in 1992, it tacitly continued to maintain the brand image of the haute couture creations along the same vein of inspiration as before. However, regarding the perfumes, many criticized the last Scherrer (Miss Scherrer, released in 2008) for not living up to the compositions signed by the master, such as Jean-Louis Scherrer, Scherrer 2 or Nuits Indiennes.

Thus the house of Scherrer took care to select one of the finest perfumers of his time, Thomas Fontaine, to craft a fragrance that would live up to a poignant tribute to master Scherrer, who passed away in 2013. As a result, One Love seems to bring back to life the lineage of the now iconic Scherrer perfumes, proudly displaying a wild galbanum which, through its facets, illuminates the eternal Scherrer woman with her many faces.

The visual for One Love is therefore reminiscent of the geometric columns (those of the Palais-Royal) and the draped forms of the famous couturier's creations. As for the magnificent evening gown, it refers of course to the refined elegance of the Parisian women whom Scherrer so loved to dress. The world captured by Alistair Taylor-Young's lens takes us directly into the elegant and delicate haute couture of Jean-Louis Scherrer's glory years.

One Love is dedicated to all women endowed with refinement and natural beauty, attributed to Jean-Louis Scherrer for One Love.

One Love, or the Scherrer woman's love for the new millennium

In order to create a bottle for One Love in total harmony with the Scherrer perfumes, the creator of this glass tower, Thierry de Baschmakoff, drew inspiration from one of the pillars of the Palais-Royal. This elongated, faceted work pays tribute to Jean-Louis Scherrer's love of geometric forms.

One Love opens on fresh notes of bergamot and lemon, enhanced with gourmand almond and a sparkling, spicy galbanum. Mimosa and violet bring floral freshness to this tonic, powdery opening of iris. The opulent beauties of orange blossom, rose and magnolia open the floral heart, which is further tinted with an exotic, spicy saffron. The One Love flower woman will nonetheless not hesitate for a second to immerse herself in the sensuality of a powerful sillage of oakmoss and ambrette to exhale her sensual femininity.

One Love is a warm and sensual perfume, which envelops the body in a powdery veil and leaves a velvety trail on the skin, attributed to Jean-Louis Scherrer for One Love.
