Paradigme Eau de Parfum

Paradigme is the men’s fragrance Prada launched in 2025 as a counterpart to Paradoxe. Marie Salamagne, Bruno Jovanovic, and Nicolas Bonneville built it in reverse, from base to top: an ambery foundation of Peru balsam, benzoin, and guaiac wood, a heart of Bourbon geranium with rosy facets, and a top of Calabrian bergamot and airy musks.

Prada describes Paradigme starting from the base, which it announces first. Peru balsam, benzoin resin, and guaiac wood make up a foundation of ambery woods, which the house calls warm and sensual, and on which the whole fragrance rests.

The geranium heart

In the heart, the house places Bourbon geranium, a traditional green material of men’s perfumery, which it says has been reinvented with floral, rosy facets. It is the centerpiece of the composition, between the balsamic foundation and the citrus top.

The top

Calabrian bergamot and airy musks occupy the top. In keeping with this inverted order, the house presents them last, as what lifts and prolongs the vibration of the whole rather than as a simple opening.

What the label declares

The list published by the house is short. After the alcohol, fragrance, and water, coumarin comes first among the declared materials, ahead of linalool, limonene, citronellol, and a UV filter, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate.

The list also declares alpha-isomethyl ionone, geraniol, benzyl benzoate and benzyl cinnamate, citral, cinnamal, benzyl alcohol, farnesol, methyl anthranilate, and eugenol. No lilial, no lyral; geraniol and citronellol echo the announced geranium.
