The Réminiscence house, as mentioned, is above all a love story between Zoé Coste and Nino Amaddeo, but also a story of passion between this couple and travel. From the very beginnings of their small shop, they designed necklaces and rings brought straight back from their travels. Very naturally, Réminiscence turned to perfumery as a new way to express its overflowing creativity and shimmering memories.
Meeting Maurice Sozio, perfumer and esteemed handler of the finest flowers of Grasse, was a revelation. Zoé Coste wanted to entrust him with creating a perfume that would radiate the most beautiful patchouli scents, to better transport her to those London markets steeped in that intoxicating scent. Maurice Sozio then composed for the lady the great Patchouli, working this precious wood across its finest facets, from its earthy aspect to its smoky notes, from its syrupy brilliance to its damp roots. Patchouli tells us the wonders of this wood, which had nonetheless been poorly regarded for years, and probably poorly used as well, and which only asked to shine again.

Yet Patchouli by Réminiscence hardly needs complex formulas to shine. As advocates of simplicity and the showcasing of natural raw materials, Zoé Coste and Maurice Sozio sought out the finest ingredients from the four corners of the world to elevate this much-loved patchouli.
Virginia cedarwood opens Patchouli's dance with its fierce edge and its urge to blend with the patchouli leaf, making it syrupy, almost earthy as well. At the heart, Haitian vetiver and Australian sandalwood offer, this time, the vision of a dry and smoky patchouli. The depths, however, sketch colorful and multifaceted trails between Spanish labdanum absolute and its delicious amber, the gourmand quality of vanilla and tonka bean, balsamic tolu balsam and enveloping white musks.
