Meliora

Meliora was released in 2013 by Parfums de Marly, in the form of an Eau de Parfum. Its formula is the work of two perfumers, Nathalie Lorson and Julien Sprecher. The house offers it in four sizes: 3 ml, 5 ml, 9 ml and 75 ml.

Red fruits and black berry

Raspberry opens the accord on a sweet note, where the softness of the red fruit is held in check by a touch of acidity. Blackcurrant gives it a different relief: the berry and its bud evoke a sour greenness, crossed by that sulfurous nuance readily attributed to the material.

Heart bouquet

Rose brings a warm, honeyed, almost waxy facet, reminiscent of certain absolutes of the flower. Lily of the valley introduces greenness and freshness, like a white flower still damp. Ylang-ylang adds a powdery fruitiness, with that clean nail polish accent characteristic of the flower, owed to its esters.

Wood, musk and vanilla

The base brings together vanilla, sweet and lifted by a spicy touch, and a musk that is both woody and animalic, warm. Cedar completes the whole with its dry, resinous wood, evoking the lead and wood of a pencil, a classic image attached to this essence.

Floral family

Meliora belongs to the florals. This family brings together compositions built around flowers, and here rose, lily of the valley and ylang-ylang play this role at the heart tier. The red fruits of the opening and the vanilla of the base surround this bouquet with sweet accents.
