The One For Men Intense: The new fragrance from Dolce Gabbana. Created by the renowned perfumer Olivier Polge, The One For Men fragrance was born in 2008, following an earlier feminine scent named The One.

A man endowed with innate charisma, self-assured and unafraid to express his personality through the fragrance he wears. This is how the very first version of The One For Men was imagined, in 2008. Elegant and particularly sensual, this fragrance has already reinvented itself several times, transforming in turn into a woody and oriental scent, then into a fragrance inspired by the Middle East, or another freshly flavored with cardamom. In 2020, Dolce & Gabbana decides to repeat the experience and presents The One For Men Intense, a new variation of its scent, dominated by leather. The One For Men Intense offers a virile and spicy opening
The One For Men Intense speaks to all men who are not lacking in temperament, and this is noticeable from the top notes of this fragrance. The One For Men Intense dares a trio of refreshing yet spicy ingredients right from the start. It all begins with cardamom, an Indonesian plant, distilled until it yields a spicy scent, slightly anise-like and aldehydic. To this is added a touch of cypress, whose pine scent is as fresh as it is camphoraceous. Neroli, in turn, comes to illuminate the whole. Derived from an emblematic flower of Italy, growing on the bitter orange tree, neroli is particularly sun-kissed, while echoing the Italian origins of the Dolce & Gabbana house. Here, it serves as the common thread running through the entire fragrance. It is present from the opening of this fragrance through to its base notes, passing also through its heart.
Dolce & Gabbana opts for a woody and aromatic heart
In its heart, The One For Men Intense becomes woodier, as if gradually asserting its virility and strength. However, for now these are soft and warm woods. Cashmere wood envelops us with its softness, while being accompanied by benzoin, a warm, fruity, and slightly vanilla-like resin. Some would even say that the breath of this ingredient recalls the scent of caramel or cocoa butter. To this is finally added a hint of sage, for a particularly aromatic rendering.
The One For Men Intense ends with a leather base
So where does the leather announced by the Dolce & Gabbana house appear? In reality, it arrives in the base notes of this fragrance and leaves behind an absolute persistence, both animalic and seductive. Patchouli also reinforces the character of this fragrance, while giving it a more woody and shadowy structure. Finally, cistus completes this fragrance with a warm and resinous scent, with a touch of animalic character.
