Noir de Noir

Noir de Noir, signed Tom Ford and released in 2007, opens on top and heart notes blending saffron, rose and truffle. The base brings together vanilla, patchouli and oakmoss over dark, earthy accents.

Saffron, spicy, leathery and tarry, sits alongside rose, warm and honeyed, while truffle, earthy, damp and animalic, occupies the same tier. None of the three shares the register of the other two.

Vanilla, sweet and warm, accompanies patchouli and oakmoss in the base, both earthy and damp: a shared register brings them together, far from the sweetness of vanilla, which remains isolated on this level.
