Noir Anthracite

Where to buy
Tom Ford Noir is a very rich, dense and contrasted essence, blending large amounts of patchouli with aromatic, camphoraceous, root-like, damp and earthy facets, thus playing on the borderline between masculine and feminine genres. Today, Tom Ford has decided to reinterpret this iconic fragrance. The house unveils the new Noir Anthracite, a highly nuanced fragrance that is just as captivating as its predecessor.
The contrasted composition of Noir Anthracite
Tom Ford is a man in love with complexity. Thus, his fragrances never go for the essential but always try to surprise with highly contrasted notes that are nonetheless assembled in harmony. Tom Ford is a man who likes to astonish, revealing his personal tastes in each of his new fragrances. The new Noir Anthracite has therefore not escaped the rule. Far from the basics of perfumery, it contains highly contrasted notes as well as little-known facets. Its opening is fresh and sharp. It blends lemon and bergamot, releasing a very luminous and airy breath. Nevertheless, this is quickly overtaken by its extreme opposite. Noir Anthracite ignites with blazing spices. Likewise, its sillage is much darker than its opening. It blends different woody facets. While Sri Lankan sandalwood and cedar are well-known scents in masculine perfumery, the presence of macassar wood is much more surprising. It is a type of ebony endemic to the island of Sulawesi, in Indonesia.
The elegant sobriety of Tom Ford's bottles
If Tom Ford enjoys using the color black in many of his fragrances, it is above all because he loves the elegance that this shade conveys. Moreover, black is also omnipresent in the designer's couture creations. Through this new fragrance, Tom Ford has crafted a highly personal composition into which he seems to have poured his entire personality. This also comes through in its bottle. The case of Noir Anthracite adopts a sober, classic line, sturdy and crafted from heavy glass. This gives it a very masculine look while also being particularly refined. This time, Tom Ford's emblematic bottle is dressed in a charcoal gray color. After all, with such a name given to this fragrance, it could hardly have been otherwise! Mirroring the fragrance it contains, Noir Anthracite displays numerous visual contrasts. It combines a smooth glass face with a crenellated pattern along its sides and cap. Finally, in an extreme attention to detail, note that the grooves on its side faces reveal, in negative space, the initials T and F of Tom Ford.
