The house describes a bed of white musks, soft, pure and enveloping, at the center of which blooms the white peony, which it calls a flower of light. All around, the perfumer scattered notes of coffee, tears of incense and benzoin.

It now lists white peony on top, Bulgarian rose in the heart, and white musks, sandalwood and benzoin in the base. According to the house, this construction makes the fragrance evolve very differently depending on the wearer.

The original description

An older text from the house opened on a green, spontaneous and sparkling freshness, lifted by coriander, with a bouquet of white peonies in the heart and a base where the transparency of white musk met the warmth of coffee and incense.

The encyclopedia Perfume Intelligence gives for 1998 white peony on top, blackcurrant leaves and coffee for the heart, and musk, benzoin and incense for the base. In 2015, Auparfum saw in it a gourmand wink from Olivier Cresp after the praline of Angel, but a coffee that stays well hidden and discreet.

For Auparfum, the fragrance opens on a lightly spicy floral freshness, between ylang, peony and freesia, with a green peach-skin note. The floral gradually melts into a smoky, milky sandalwood and a barely vanilla coffee lifted with coriander, and ends in a cloud of powdery, creamy musks.

What stays out

Peach, plum, freesia, lily, jasmine, ylang-ylang, vanilla, tonka bean and cedar, which most pyramids published online repeat, are not among the notes the house declares today, nor are hedione and lily of the valley.

What the label declares

After alcohol, fragrance and water, its ingredient list contains only declarable allergens: hydroxycitronellal, alpha-isomethyl ionone, coumarin, geraniol, citronellol, cinnamyl alcohol, linalool, benzyl alcohol, farnesol, limonene, benzyl benzoate, isoeugenol and citral. It declares no colorant and no UV filter.
