Miutine Intense

Miu Miu builds Miutine Intense on a blackberry accord, a gardenia note and a vanilla infusion, whose fruity, floral and gourmand facets it says it holds in tension. The house pairs the Bourbon vanilla with patchouli, for a dark, deep warmth.

Blackberry, gardenia and vanilla

The notes are arranged here as follows: blackberry at the top; gardenia, jasmine and rose in the heart; vanilla and patchouli at the base. Blackberry opens the fragrance as a juicy, pulpy nectar, which the house wants rich and liqueur-like.

The gardenia in the heart is an accord, a flower recomposed by the perfumer, which the house enriches with magnolia leaf oil, a jasmine grandiflorum superinfusion from India and rose petals. It lends it green and fruity facets.

At the base, the house speaks of an infused Bourbon vanilla. Compared with Miutine, strawberry gives way to blackberry, and neither brown sugar nor oakmoss is announced any longer.

What the label declares

The list opens with alcohol, fragrance and water, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a synthetic woody, ambery molecule. Linalool, hydroxycitronellal, alpha-isomethyl ionone and linalyl acetate come right behind.

It also lists patchouli oil, under its botanical name, bitter orange peel oil and rose flower oil or extract. Carvone, anethole, benzaldehyde, with its bitter almond scent, methyl anthranilate and coumarin also appear on the list.

The formula also contains a UV filter, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, an antioxidant and hexadecanolactone, a synthetic musk. No colorant appears; the house attributes the burgundy hue to the bottle.
