Météore
Météore is the men's fragrance that Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud composed in 2020 for Louis Vuitton, the sixth fragrance in the men's collection born in 2018. Where to buy
Louis Vuitton presents Météore by its name, magnetic, evocative of strength and light, like the blazing clouds that dazzle humanity. To capture this energy, the house states that Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud chose Sicilian mandarin, pushed all the way into the heart of the fragrance ahead of a trio of sparkling peppers.
Sixth fragrance in a men's collection
Luxsure, which relayed the press kit on September 2, 2020, places Météore in the men's collection launched in 2018 with L'Immensité, Nouveau Monde, Orage, Sur la Route and Au Hasard; it is the sixth composition in it, available on August 28, 2020. L'Officiel sees it as the most fascinating men's fragrance of a fall lineup.
Dariush Alavi, on Persolaise, reviewed it as early as August 10, 2020. Auparfum recalls that the house entrusted its fragrances to Cavallier-Belletrud, hired in 2012, and that the first collection, seven fragrances, was released on September 1, 2016 from the Grasse workshop, Les Fontaines Parfumées.
The house's discourse
Cavallier-Belletrud, quoted by Luxsure, sees freshness becoming the backbone, around which all the other elements intertwine: sun-drenched citrus, sun-kissed neroli, crackling peppers, cardamom and nutmeg for depth, Java vetiver enhanced by a unique distillation, stripped of its smokiest notes.
Today, the house sells it under the name Parfum Météore, in 100 and 200 ml, with complimentary initial engraving, in a bottle refillable in stores equipped with a perfume fountain, with a sample to try before opening the bottle.
