Météore is the men's fragrance that Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud composed in 2020 for Louis Vuitton, the sixth fragrance in the men's collection born in 2018. The bottle is the one shared by all Louis Vuitton fragrances, designed by Marc Newson, the house recalls; Jeanne Doré, at its unveiling in 2016, describes it as entirely transparent, pared down, topped with a black cap stamped with the LV hallmark, with a sobriety that some will judge far removed from the codes of luxury.
Each bottle is refillable, in 100 or 200 ml, in stores equipped with a perfume fountain. The travel bottle, sold with four 7.5 ml cartridges with magnetic closure, clips onto the atomizer; Luxsure also shows a leather case and a Taigarama perfume trunk.
Numéro recalls that Newson's bottle applies to the Eau de Parfum collection, while Frank Gehry designed that of the Extraits in 2021. The house engraves the initials at no charge and includes a sample to try the fragrance before opening the bottle.
