Lost Cherry is a fragrance by Tom Ford released in 2018. Bitter almond and cherry open the composition on a gourmand register, before a fruity and floral heart gives way to a warm, woody base.
Bitter almond, sweet and balsamic, sits alongside cherry in the top notes, marked by its pit: on one side the sweetness of sugar and hay, on the other the characteristic bitterness of the pit.
Plum, velvety and syrupy, Sambac jasmine, creamy and milky, and rose, warm and honeyed, share the heart. Rose has spicy and lemony facets that the other two do not display.
In the base, warm and sensual vanilla, velvety sandalwood with an animalic note, and vetiver, smoky and earthy, come together: the warm sensuality of the first two contrasts with the vegetal facet of vetiver.
