L’Homme Prada, l’Eau is as elegant as its elder, yet it aims to be lighter, more airy. Signed once again by Daniela Andrier, the composition of L’Homme Prada, l’Eau is both woody and chypre. Also very sun-kissed, the fragrance has a heart brimming with iris, like its predecessors.

Daniela Andrier is without question one of the most elegant figures in perfumery. A perfumer for the company Givaudan, Daniela Andrier was awarded a medal by the Minister of Culture. Her creations are described as poetic, lively and, above all, highly refined. For Daniela Andrier, creating a fragrance is an almost moral duty. She states that one must defend what a fragrance ought to be, against marketing, which stretches the formula in every direction. A fragrance is luxurious when it has been developed outside the constraints of profitability and when the person developing it projects themselves into it, putting their whole heart into it. It is not enough to use beautiful materials. If too many fragrances have lost their soul, it is because they were made without passion and without joy. Daniela Andrier is behind almost all Prada fragrances, and greatly admires Miuccia Prada.
Iris, once again and always at the heart of the fragrance L’Homme Prada l’Eau
Woody and chypre, the composition of L’Homme Prada, l’Eau begins with a pairing of neroli and ginger, which immediately offers a spicy, sun-kissed effect. Neroli is an essential oil produced from the flower of the bitter orange tree, commonly called bitter orange. Originally from India, neroli is now grown around the Mediterranean. Neroli gives off very floral, even jasmine-like tonalities, but also suave and particularly luminous ones. The heart of L’Homme Prada, l’Eau is composed of noble ingredients such as iris and amber, which is Miuccia Prada's favorite ingredient. Iris was also at the heart of L’Homme Prada and La Femme Prada. Along with oud, iris is the most expensive ingredient in perfumery. It is the rhizomes that are used in perfumery. However, the extraction process is long and delicate, which explains its high price. In compositions, iris offers powdery, suave, highly elegant tonalities, but also green and woody touches. Finally, the base of L’Homme Prada, l’Eau is both woody and powdery thanks to the presence of sandalwood, cedar and powdery notes. The understated and elegant bottle echoes the main codes of its predecessors.
