Prada L’Homme L’Eau, the masculine fragrance In 2016, the house Prada chose to bring forth a duo of fragrances and to present two new perfumes together, with the same concept, with the same photographer, so that they would be truly interchangeable. The idea then was to offer a vision of the modern couple.
The quest for the absolute, the obsession with quality and craftsmanship, and so many other qualities that Miuccia Prada and Daniela Andrier recognized in one another. In 2016 they chose to offer a new fragrant couple, La Femme Prada and L’Homme Prada. They soon created two intense “children” for them. Then in 2017 La Femme Prada transformed into an eau, carrying with it the freshness and intensity of its alter ego L’Homme Prada L’Eau.
L’Homme Prada L’Eau, between shadows and light…
Prada fragrances stand out both for the quality of the raw materials chosen and for the refinement of their scents, in total harmony with the sophistication of Prada haute couture garments. For several years now, it is Daniela Andrier who has proposed to Miuccia Prada her finest fragrant compositions, which has only deepened, over the years, their emotional and creative bond, for the most beautiful fragrances such as Les Infusions, Luna Rossa and its flankers, or indeed L’Homme Prada and La Femme Prada.
After having presented this L’Homme Prada in its classic version and then its intense version, the talented perfumer composed for it a more airy version without losing its sensual force, and it would be named L’Homme Prada L’Eau.
Moreover, L’Homme Prada L’Eau does not seek to become yet another sport fragrance; neither Daniela Andrier nor Miuccia Prada could be satisfied with merely responding to this current commercial trend. Daniela Andrier thus confides that she does not like sport fragrances for men: my obsession was not to create yet another “masculine sport fragrance”, even though expectations for this type of fragrance are very high, she stated for Luna Rossa to Les Echos.
L’Homme Prada L’Eau thus presents itself like its two fragrant predecessors, between the brilliance of a fresh retro fougère charm and the force of a floral-amber sillage that is both elegant and very masculine.
Iris, ginger and amber for an L’Homme Prada L’Eau between intense freshness and burning warmth
Madame Andrier is a talented perfumer who, like all perfumers, has her favorite raw materials and does not hesitate to use them with the full measure of her passion. This is especially true for iris, so it will come as no surprise to find the precious flower in every fragrance of the L’Homme Prada range, including this lovely L’Homme Prada L’Eau.
I love all natural raw materials, without exception. I adore iris and galbanum, which touch me particularly. I truly find it hard to do without iris; even in very small doses, it is always there. Daniela Andrier on L’Homme Prada L’Eau.
Thus, L’Homme Prada L’Eau opens with a cocktail as polar as it is burning, of fresh, peppery ginger paired with a neroli flower that is sweet, suave and extremely sun-kissed. These plays of light and of hot and cold will win over the heart of L’Homme Prada L’Eau, breathing in on one side a sophisticated, luxurious and highly luminous iris note, while blowing in on the other a contrary wind of wild, warm and animalic amber. Finally, sandalwood and cedar form the intense sillage of this definitively elegant Prada man, who exudes his fine masculinity without losing an ounce of sophistication…
