Premier Figuier appeared in 1994 and gave the fig the leading part in alcoholic perfumery. Olivia Giacobetti put the whole tree into it: the crushed leaf, the milky sap, the ripe fruit, the wood. Two years before the Philosykos she would sign for Diptyque, the creation opened a category niche perfumery has never left.
Four declared materials, and six more that Wikiparfum adds without tiering them. The whole tree fits inside the composition: leaf, sap, fruit and wood.
Leaf, fruit, wood
The crushed leaf opens, green and almost herbaceous. The fruit and the almond milk occupy the middle, milky and sweet without ever tipping into the gourmand. Cedar closes the composition.
What the house keeps
Its page puts forward only Ficus carica and cedar. Neiman Marcus and 24S give the same three-note description — fig leaf, almond milk, fig — and Wikiparfum matches the four materials kept here.
What stays outside
Wikiparfum adds galbanum, coconut milk, dried fruits, sandalwood, peach and pine needles. Elsewhere a nine-material tiering circulates that joins asafoetida and lime to them. With no declared tier, all of that stays in prose.
What the label declares
Fifteen entries: denatured alcohol, water, fragrance, hydroxycitronellal, benzyl salicylate, and the regulated allergens — linalool, alpha-isomethyl ionone, coumarin, citronellol, eugenol, geraniol, limonene, benzyl benzoate, citral — closed by benzyl alcohol.
