Kokorico is a Jean Paul Gaultier masculine launched in 2011, composed by Annick Menardo and Olivier Cresp and named after the rooster’s crow. This woody cocoa scent opens on fig leaf, places raw cocoa bean at its center and rests on vetiver, patchouli and cedar. Its black bottle draws a man’s face in profile, a nod to the torso of Le Male.

Kokorico’s bottle is black, set off by a blood-red signature. It reveals a man’s face in profile and plays on trompe-l’œil: turned to the side, it recalls the muscular torso of Le Male, in continuity with the house’s bottles.
The eau de toilette came in 50 and 100 ml. Auparfum counts the bottle among the bold choices, along with the name and the composition, that may explain the reception the perfume received on its release.
