For Him

For Him the Eau de Toilette, very contemporary and so sensual... The Narciso Rodriguez house was founded in 1977 by the designer of the same name.

The Narciso Rodriguez fashion house has always known how to combine the modernity of its cuts with the retro charm of great classics, and the same was true for its fragrances, notably its bestseller and very first fragrance, For Her, released in 2003. How could one imagine that the so seductive For Her would not have its masculine alter ego? In 2005 with For Him Eau de Parfum and in 2007 with For Him Eau de Toilette, this was accomplished!

The elegant and virile man designed by Francis Kurkdjian for For Him by Narciso Rodriguez

The very first fragrance from the Narciso Rodriguez house, For Her, was designed by Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian to be both very feminine and very sensual, but above all very original. An originality that blends the retro side of chypre scents with the freshness of citrus notes and the sensuality of woody notes. For Her was a great perfumery success and notably won the famous Fifi Awards prize twice, in 2004 and in 2007.

The least one can say is that expectations were immense when the house announced it would offer a masculine fragrance to pair with this magnificent For Her. And it was precisely one of the perfumers of For Her, Francis Kurkdjian, who developed For Him Eau de Parfum and For Him Eau de Toilette using the same amber framework he had used with Christine Nagel for For Her. The difference being that this note would be characterized in For Him by Egyptian musk, a powerful musk in the eau de parfum but more restrained in the eau de toilette.

Thus For Him Eau de Toilette, released in 2007, took up the challenge of For Her and For Him EDP while offering itself in a more restrained way to men seeking both elegance and distinction.

Narciso Rodriguez For Him has the assets of a fine masculine classic, but with a genuine unexpected touch of novelty and risk. Although for me it carries a great dose of sensuality, this fragrance never falls into excess. It remains refined and classy and above all quite fresh, which makes it thoroughly irresistible. For Him by Narciso Rodriguez, or the explosive encounter between a fresh violet and a wild Egyptian musk

Francis Kurkdjian is not a man to be guided by trends or marketing concepts; he composes fragrances as an emotional medium, a creator of desired or dreamed-of sensations and emotions. Very inspired by For Her, he was equally so for For Him, whether in the eau de parfum with its absolute power or in For Him the eau de toilette, as delicate as it is sensual.

From the very opening of this For Him Eau de Toilette, lavender and the green note carry us into a wind of absolute vegetal freshness. A whirlwind that is not calmed by the powdery violet of the heart, quite the contrary, geranium punctuates it all with its nervous freshness. But soon the fresh, vegetal breezes are countered by the torrid, woody warmth of vetiver and patchouli paired with ultra-virile leathery notes. Ambergris and coumarin bring to this powerful sillage the touch of masculine animalic quality this great fragrance needs to better wrap itself in the softness of white musks.
A masculine, sensual, elegant and modern fragrance.
