To create the tribute to his friend and muse, Narciso Rodriguez chose Francis Kurkdjian and Christine Nagel. Born in 1959 in Geneva, Christine Nagel began her career at Firmenich. She created her first olfactory notes under the direction of Michel Almairac, and her first fragrance, Eau de Cartier, propelled her into the spotlight. Her compositions highlight natural ingredients and combine unlikely blends. Her talent has been recognized on several occasions, notably with a Fifi Awards in 2005. Christine Nagel is behind magnificent fragrances such as The One by Dolce & Gabbana or Elle L'aime by Lolita Lempicka. Francis Kurkdjian succeeded in joining the prestigious perfumery school, ISIPCA. Upon graduating, Francis Kurkdjian had the opportunity to create Le Mâle, the very first, and far from least, fragrance by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Every perfume by Francis Kurkdjian is created with rigor, elegance and boldness. Francis Kurkdjian enjoys reinterpreting the classics of perfumery. For Her is defined as a luminous chypre. Its composition is at once elegant and sensual, built around a heart steeped in Egyptian musk. It should be noted that ancient Egypt was a great consumer of scents and perfumes. Olfactory scents were used both to enhance beauty and as part of religious rituals. Originally, musk was an animal material. The scent called musk actually comes from the secretion of a gland, that of the musk deer. Unfortunately, this technique was banned since obtaining the scent required killing the animal. Today musk is reproduced synthetically. In perfumery, musk gives off sweet, warm, intoxicating and highly sensual tonalities. Egyptian musk is a more powerful, captivating musk, offering notes of vanilla that soften it.
