Bloom Ambrosia d’Oro

Gucci describes a floral, musky nectar at the center of which a Golden Queen accord, velvety and tinged with apricot, joins the Bloom white bouquet. The house credits sambac jasmine with a green, vibrant freshness, and tuberose with a deep sensuality.

Ginger, white flowers and woods

The notes are arranged here as follows: ginger and ambroxan at the top; tuberose, sambac jasmine and Rangoon creeper in the heart; patchouli, sandalwood and cypriol at the base. Rangoon creeper, known in French as quisqualier, is a flowering vine from tropical Asia.

The top also holds a material named Golden Globe NaturePrint, and the heart Romandolide, a synthetic musky molecule. The house also mentions hedione, a molecule with a jasmine scent, in the Golden Queen accord, and credits jasmine and tuberose with the powdery texture typical of the Blooms.

What the label declares

The list opens with alcohol, fragrance and propylene glycol, a solvent, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a synthetic woody, ambery molecule, and water. Linalyl acetate, linalool and benzyl salicylate come right behind.

It also lists patchouli oil, under its botanical name, santalol, the main constituent of sandalwood oil, cananga oil or extract, a botanical cousin of ylang-ylang, and jasmine oil or extract. Eugenol and isoeugenol, with their clove accents, vanillin and farnesol also appear on the list.

The formula also contains an antioxidant and hexadecanolactone, a synthetic musk; no UV filter or colorant appears on the list.
