Hugo Boss launched Boss Femme in 2006. Annick Ménardo and Harry Frémont composed a floral fruity scent: tangerine, black currant and freesia at the opening, a trio of white flowers at the center, lily, jasmine and Bulgarian rose, and a base of apricot, amber and musk. The house paints the portrait of a romantic, serene woman.
Boss Femme opens on a fruity, floral trio: tangerine, a tart mandarin, black currant and freesia. The heart brings together oriental lily, Madagascar jasmine and Bulgarian rose, three flowers the house presents together.
The base keeps apricot, amber and musk, with a Ceylon lemon tree wood that extends the citrus of the opening. The house speaks of a creamy, musky base and of a warm, discreet trail.
A more detailed list adds stephanotis among the white flowers, a climbing flower whose scent is close to jasmine.
What the label declares
The ingredient list released by perfumeries names, after alcohol and water, fragrance, hydroxycitronellal and linalool, two allergens that must be declared, and two ultraviolet filters.
Next come geraniol, limonene, alpha-isomethyl ionone, hexyl cinnamal and farnesol, BHT as an antioxidant, and four colorants, red, violet, yellow and blue, which give the juice its pink tint.
