Where to buy
The collection of perfumes named “Dolce” is an ode to femininity. After “Dolce Floral Drops”, “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” comes to life. More Italian than ever, “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” is an olfactory nod to Domenico Dolce’s native Sicily. “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” is a perfume intended for women who seduce and who love doing so...
Dolce Rosa Excelsa, intoxicating with happiness
“Dolce Rosa Excelsa” has the same creative spirit as its two predecessors. All three share numerous elements in common. The greatest difference comes from the presence of rose, an essence recognized for its femininity… “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” opens with the scent of neroli leaves, an ingredient that evokes the scents of a Sicilian garden in spring. Paired with papaya flower, the composition proves more exotic and more gourmand. In addition to the traditional white flowers, the heart of “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” fills with rose, becoming as glamorous as one could wish. Rose also intensifies the base of the perfume for even more character. Musk and sandalwood then offer, to finish, woody and warm effluvia.
Dolce Rosa Excelsa, Italy as a model
This is not the first time that Dolce & Gabbana has drawn inspiration from their native Sicily to imagine a perfume. Even the advertising campaign for “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” brings together Italians: director Giuseppe Tornatore, composer Ennio Morricone and actress Sophia Loren. One also recalls Monica Bellucci, who represented the perfume “Sicily”… In the image of Sophia Loren, the “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” woman is a sophisticated woman who nonetheless does not lack character. The young woman who presents the perfume, alongside Sophia Loren, is a 20-year-old model, Kate King. Like Italian women, she has long, dark, silky hair. She also has a captivating gaze and a delicate smile… Sensual, the bottle is too. With a bright red rose as its cap, the bottle also carries a power of seduction. This rose is a nod to the flowers sculpted from almond paste by traditional Sicilian pastry makers. The transparency of the glass, moreover, allows a glimpse of its soft pink-colored juice.
The Italian house Dolce & Gabbana needs no introduction. Endowed with an unconcealed elegance, the brand’s perfumes reflect their creations. After the success of “Dolce” and “Dolce Floral Drops”, “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” comes to life in spring 2016. While woman remains ever at the center of these compositions, rose now joins the latest one to lend it more femininity and sensuality. Make no mistake, the Italian woman is more sophisticated than ever!
