Dior Addict Eau Fraîche is the floral fruity Eau de Toilette composed by François Demachy that Dior added to the Dior Addict line in 2012. Grapefruit and Calabrian bergamot open onto a heart of freesia and lily of the valley, set on woody notes and white musks. Daphne Groeneveld embodies it in Saint-Tropez in its launch campaign.
Bittersweet grapefruit opens Dior Addict Eau Fraîche, softened by Calabrian bergamot, an essence drawn from the fruit’s peel by cold expression. The heart, floral and tangy, pairs freesia with lily of the valley, a favorite flower of the House of Dior.
Woody notes and enveloping white musks form the base, which the house wants structured. Dior sees in it the joyful conclusion of a composition it places under the sign of liveliness.
Freesia and lily of the valley
Lily of the valley yields no essence: the house points out that it is recreated through a green, floral, jasmine-like accord lifted by ylang-ylang. Native to South Africa, freesia brings a luminous floral note reminiscent of jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose.
Pomegranate and lotus
At its launch, Eau Fraîche also paired pomegranate and lotus flower with freesia, with woods and a white musk in the base. Dior no longer mentions them today and places lily of the valley alongside freesia.
