Coromandel

Chanel launched Coromandel in 2007 in Les Exclusifs, as a tribute to the Chinese lacquer screens that lined Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment. Jacques Polge and Christopher Sheldrake built an intense amber around patchouli, frankincense and benzoin. Victoria, of Bois de Jasmin, finds a dark, gourmand patchouli, elegant right down to its trail.

The Les Exclusifs de Chanel bottle, in 75 and 200 ml, accompanied by a body oil.

Coromandel takes the bottle of the Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection. In 2011, it was sold as an eau de toilette in 75 and 200 ml; today it exists as an eau de parfum in the same sizes.

Chanel also offers Coromandel L’Huile, a body oil to wear alone or under the eau de parfum, to extend its trail.
