Colonia Essenza, created by Acqua Di Parma in 2010, opens on a trio of citrus notes: lemon and orange share the same acidity, while lemon and bergamot meet on freshness. The heart blends aromatic and floral accents, and the base rests on woody, earthy, and animalic materials.
Lemon and orange, both tangy, mark the opening with a shared freshness; bergamot joins them on this same ground, fruity in its own way. Acidity and freshness thus intersect among the three citrus notes without merging.
Rosemary, aromatic and close to thyme, sits alongside lily of the valley and rose in the heart. Lily of the valley, green and fresh, and rose, fresh and warm, meet on this shared freshness, while rosemary keeps its own aromatic register.
Vetiver, woody and smoky, patchouli, earthy and damp, and white musks, coppery and animalic, occupy the base. Each holds a distinct register, from wood to earth to animalic material.
