Buoyed by this success, Tom Ford then launched into a bold gamble for a perfume house: releasing a large collection of fragrances built solely around prestigious raw materials.

Despite these drastic selection criteria, the perfumers of the house of Givaudan proposed a great many creations, and the great designer chose his twelve favorite fragrances, which would become the Private Blend collection.

Surprisingly, the first advertising campaigns display great aesthetic restraint. Néroli Portofino's beautiful retro bottle is showcased there through sublime aquatic and visual effects. The advertisements that followed would not depart from this love of aesthetics, but would be markedly less restrained… As illustrated by the campaign for the range of cosmetic products derived from the beautiful Italian, featuring two nude models playfully splashing each other from a giant bottle of Néroli Portofino.

The Néroli Portofino bottle shines both for its intense azure blue and for its elegant restraint. Inspired by antique Eau de Cologne bottles, to which it presents itself as successor, the opulent Néroli Portofino bottle, shaped like a chess pawn, stands out for the beauty of its square design.

The beautiful Mediterranean Néroli Portofino opens on a cocktail of Italian citrus that cannot decide between bergamot, mandarin, petitgrain or Sicilian lemon notes. At the heart, Tunisian neroli meets a lovely orange blossom and delicate Egyptian jasmine to illuminate Néroli Portofino the way sunlight illuminates the coasts of the Riviera. These lovely honeyed notes carry the wearer toward amber and woody depths tinted with ambrette seeds and angelica.
