Here is our review regarding this very rich and carefully crafted fragrance, fitting perfectly within the world of luxury perfumery.

Olfastory’s review

Hugo Boss chooses an oriental perfume

While Hugo Boss had rather accustomed us to very fresh and energizing olfactory creations, Boss The Scent moves into an entirely different scented territory: that of orientals. Boss The Scent is a warm and sensual perfume, ideal for stirring up the power of seduction of the man who wears it. Composed essentially of maninka fruit, it plays on the erotic aspect of perfumery. Indeed, this raw material, originating from South Africa, is renowned for its aphrodisiac properties. For the very first time, Hugo Boss takes on the challenge of using it in a perfume. Added to this is also a scent of passion fruit as well as a rum accord. Undeniably, Boss The Scent is made to intoxicate all the senses. Freshness is preserved in a blend of ginger and lavender. Little by little, this perfume becomes smokier and more addictive. The oriental notes take on their full scope in its sillage.

A bottle perfectly anchored in the codes of luxury perfumery

As for the bottle, the masculine perfume Boss The Scent is enclosed in a very luxurious case. Ringed with silver metal, it resembles a precious cage, protecting all the secrets of this fragrance. Combining cylindrical roundness with straighter and more vertical lines, the bottle of Boss The Scent is ideally designed to attract the desire of all men, whatever their personality. Inside, it conceals an amber juice, resembling molten gold or honey. It thus fits within a very luxurious register, while evoking a sweet, amber-toned breath.

Theo James, face of the campaign for Boss The Scent

Finally, to complete the image of its perfume, the house Hugo Boss did not choose just any face of the campaign. Here, it is the British actor Theo James's turn to embody the image of this scent. Among the sexiest actors on the planet, he is above all famous for his roles in the blockbusters “Divergent” and “Underworld”. Undeniably, given his high notoriety, he offers excellent visibility to the perfume Boss The Scent, while perfectly embodying the brand's values, namely masculine power and contemporary seduction. In the advertisements for Hugo Boss, he is accompanied by the Russian model Natasha Poly, the two forming a particularly sensual couple. The television campaign, meanwhile, owes its existence to the duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott as well as to the American director Darren Aronofsky.
