Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense was released in August 2025, a year after the first feminine chypre from Hermès. Christine Nagel reprises the Barénia palette — butterfly lily, miracle berry, oakwood, patchouli absolute — and writes into it leathery notes that point back to the saddlery leather the line is named for.
Bottle designed by Philippe Mouquet after the Collier de Chien bracelet, amber-gradient glass, pyramid studs and one last stud at the base.
Philippe Mouquet designed the bottle of the line after the Collier de Chien, a leather and metal bracelet Hermès draws from its dog collars and that women have worn since the 1920s.
For this chapter the glass turns to an amber gradient, chosen to answer the depth of the juice. The elliptical curves of the body balance a row of pyramid studs with rounded facets.
The detail hides at the base: one last stud shaped into the glass. The three sizes — thirty, sixty and one hundred milliliters — are refilled from the one hundred and twenty-five milliliter refill, sold separately.
