What the house declares

Rochas divides its fragrance into three stages. In the top, the spicy burst of pink peppercorns comes with the effervescence of mandarin and raspberry. The heart brings together rose, tuberose and orange blossom, which the house says were chosen for their most feminine facets.

The base combines enveloping musks, the smoothness of tonka bean and the woody warmth of sandalwood, for a velvety, tenacious embrace according to the house. Rochas sums it up in three materials: piquant pink peppercorns, ardent tuberose and gourmand tonka.

A tonka with dried fruit

Interparfums specifies that Louise Turner wanted a tonka bean with inflections of vanilla-tinged dried fruit, set against the bite of the pink peppercorns and the voluptuousness of the tuberose. When the fragrance came out, Luxe Tentations described a honeyed tuberose and lent the orange blossom an animalic touch.

Floral or ambery

Interparfums presents Audace as a floral ambery gourmand; the Rochas page, for its part, says ambery floral gourmand. Wikiparfum classifies it among ambery florals, and the family adopted here is floral, with ambery and gourmand facets.

The 2026 version

Audace Le Parfum, in 2026, keeps the raspberry, pink peppercorns, tuberose, orange blossom, musks and tonka bean. Louise Turner and Quentin Bisch add coffee in the top, iris in the heart and cocoa absolute in the base.

What the label declares

The house publishes an ingredient list that places, right after water, tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a synthetic woody material. Vanillin ranks high, along with bergamot oil (Citrus aurantium bergamia) and coumarin, the main odorous component of tonka bean.

It also declares patchouli oil (Pogostemon cablin), rose oil and rose ketones, hydroxycitronellal with its lily-of-the-valley accents, and several constituents of citrus and flowers, such as linalool, limonene, citronellol or geraniol.

Two UV filters, ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, protect the fragrance from light, and two colorants, a yellow and a red, tint it. The house notes that the list may change and refers to the packaging of the product purchased.
