Reflection Man

Reflection Man is the men’s fragrance Amouage launched in 2007, composed by Lucas Sieuzac, as a pair with Reflection Woman. Rosemary, red pepper berries and bitter orange leaves open onto a floral heart of neroli, iris, jasmine and ylang-ylang, set on vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood and cedar.

Patty, on Perfume Posse, found in 2009 a fresh, powerful masculine that pepper and rosemary take off the beaten track; Marin Kristic, on ScentGrail, made it his favourite Amouage in 2024.

What critics say

Perfume Posse, July 2009

Patty, on 1 July 2009, describes a fresh and pleasant masculine fragrance that covers classic men’s territory. Red pepper berries and rosemary give it a slight twist: it smells both like the expected masculine and like something else.

She says she is rather taken with it and sees it as a power scent, made for an investment banker.

ScentGrail, January 2024

Marin Kristic, on 3 January 2024, calls Reflection Man his favourite Amouage. He describes a clean, well-groomed opening, aromatic and powdery, whose metallic sharpness fades as neroli and the flowers take over.

The base reminds him of a luxury shaving cream more than of the announced woods. He credits it with ten to twelve hours of presence, praises its quality and value, and warns that its floral, powdery character will not please everyone.
