Raspberry, lavender and gourmand woods

The house describes Ruby as a bold woody fruity scent. It opens on a burst of raspberry and an aromatic lavender, and settles on smooth, warm woods lifted by a gourmand touch. Raspberry is placed in the top, lavender in the heart, the woods in the base.

No other material is named: neither the nature of the woods nor that of the gourmand accent is specified. The published composition therefore comes down to three notes, one per tier, which the house sums up as a blend of fruit, aromatics and wood.

Lavender, the common thread

The lavender heart places Ruby in a line of continuity. Since Intense in 2023, lavender, or lavandin, has occupied the heart of almost every Uomo edition: Green Stravaganza, Extradose, Rendez-Vous Ivory and Purple Melancholia carry it in turn.

A red fruit in the top

Raspberry is the new element. Uomo editions had already opened on a fruit, the pineapple of Yellow Dream in 2021, the apple of Coral Fantasy in 2022. With Ruby, the top moves to a red fruit, matched to the color of the bottle.

What the label declares

The ingredient list published for the American market confirms the lavender, declared as an oil, and specifies the woods: Virginia cedar and Atlas cedar oils. It also names cinnamon bark oil, bergamot, vanillin and coumarin.

Methyl anthranilate, a material with orange blossom and grape facets, appears high on the list, just after the synthetic ambery woods. A colorant (CI 60730), a UV filter and an antioxidant complete the list.
