For the 10th anniversary of its fragrance, the house of Diesel wanted to make a big impact, especially internationally. And what better way to do so than to call on one of the most popular football players on the planet. With his 250 million followers, Neymar already promises Diesel worldwide promotion, especially among millennials (18-30 years old), a target dear to many brands. It was necessary to make a big impact internationally, confirms Guillaume de Lesquen. This means choosing a worldwide face of the campaign who speaks to everyone, every community, and who is carried by digital, especially on social media with Instagram and Twitter. Moreover, Neymar is far from being an athlete like any other. Not content with being talked about on the pitch, he is also a fashion victim who does not hesitate to break established codes by sporting unconventional hairstyles, dressing fashionably, or wearing jewelry. He is therefore in perfect harmony with the house's philosophy, and does not hide his convictions.
A fresh, green fragrance, quite universal
As for the scent, Diesel's perfume does not necessarily go for eccentricity but offers a very pleasant freshness, especially on hot summer days. Yet, despite this lightness, Spirit of The Brave displays perfect harmony and does not lack tenacity either. Its balance is perfectly orchestrated. Its scent, meanwhile, is fairly consensual, enough to satisfy most people. Spirit of The Brave opens with a green freshness of bergamot and galbanum. Its heart, meanwhile, evokes the Brazilian forest, another nod to Neymar's story. To achieve this, it relies on a blend of cypress and fir. Finally, its base is rounder and more resinous, combining labdanum and tonka bean.
The lion, the new icon of Spirit of The Brave
Finally, let us end with Diesel's bottle. While it preserves the shape of its predecessors, it manages to reinvent itself, daring new colors and adding a lion on its sides.
