The fragrance of an Eau Florale by Repetto The house of Repetto was born in the heart of Paris in 1947. Its workshops, located just steps from the Opéra National de Paris, made dance shoes that were quickly considered among the finest quality in the world.
Released in 2015, Repetto, Eau Florale follows the immense success of the fragrance Repetto, which came out two years earlier. Just as feminine as its predecessor, Repetto Eau Florale nevertheless aims to be much more romantic. While the fragrance is floral, as its name indicates, it also displays a fruity and woody side. A true concentrate of joy, Repetto Eau Florale is a bold essence for lively women who bite into life with gusto. The composition is signed by Nicolas Beaulieu and Julie Karagueuzoglou.
A duo of perfumers to create Repetto Eau Florale
In order to create this most romantic of waters, the house of Repetto chose a duo of young and talented perfumers. Nicolas Beaulieu studied perfumery at the prestigious perfumery school, ISIPCA. He began his career at IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances) in 2006. Nicolas Beaulieu enjoys creating elegant and romantic fragrances. He is behind, among others, Éclat de Fleurs by Lanvin and Le Ballet Blanc by Repetto. Julie Karagueuzoglou holds a degree in chemistry as well as from ISIPCA. She also works at IFF. In 2007, she was named Junior Perfumer of Fine Fragrances, signaling that a fine career awaited her. Julie Karagueuzoglou is behind several fragrances, among which Le Ballet Blanc by Repetto (again in collaboration with Nicolas Beaulieu), L'Homme Ultime by Yves Saint Laurent, and Eau des Jardins by Clarins.
Repetto Eau Florale, a tangy rose composition
Lighter and more delicate than the Eau de Toilette Repetto, Repetto Eau Florale is a fragrance that seems to flutter in the air, bringing everyone immense happiness. Repetto Eau Florale begins with the pairing of pink grapefruit and plum blossom for a very floral aspect from the very start. Plum blossoms were always depicted with 5 petals (for the 5 peoples of China), and were chosen in 1911 to represent the Republic of China (present-day Taiwan). The plum blossom is the flower of hope and harmony. Because it blooms at the end of winter with pink-colored flowers, the plum blossom heralds the arrival of spring. In perfumery, plum blossom releases soft, delicate, floral and subtle tones. Then, the heart of Repetto Eau Florale is highly floral thanks to the presence of rose and violet, which again pair with a fruity touch, that of peach. Violet flowers have been known since antiquity. The Romans called them March flowers, because of their blooming period and their striking scent. Many queens wore violet as their fragrance, as it offers a very powdery tone. In perfumery, violet releases very powdery tones, but also floral, soft and green ones. Finally, the base of Repetto Eau Florale is meant to be delicately sensual. It combines Virginia cedar with ambergris, leaving behind a most feminine sillage. The bottle of Repetto Eau Florale takes up the main codes of its predecessor. Nevertheless, the glass is entirely lacquered and the nectar is tinted a tangy pink, still accompanied by a pink satin ribbon.
