Repetto Eau de Toilette

Classical dance and perfumery are two very different worlds that, in principle, have little in common. Yet one house has managed to combine these two artistic worlds beautifully. Repetto is a Parisian house whose renown now extends across the entire planet, supplying the greatest classical dancers with ballet flats.

Having dressed the feet of the most beautiful dancers in the world as well as those of the greatest stars, the house of Repetto wished to convey its passion for dance through perfumery. By choosing the great Olivier Polge, it was certain that Repetto Eau de Toilette would live up to the pointe(s) of this fine house. Sophistication, luminosity, dynamism and sensuality unfold in gliding steps in this very first Repetto fragrance…

Repetto Eau de Toilette, the sweetness and light of a first perfumed dance step signed Olivier Polge

Olivier Polge, a name that evokes a great deal, both for the beauty of his fragrances, the legendary weight of his name, and for his highly coveted title as in-house perfumer for Chanel.

In 2013, when the perfumer chose to give voice to his love of boldness for the fine house of Repetto, he was not yet within the walls of Gabrielle, but he was close to it… A closeness that can indeed be found in his composition for Repetto, notably through his choice of raw materials…

Nevertheless, Olivier Polge managed to capture in Repetto Eau de Toilette all the feelings and wonder inspired by the sight of a prima ballerina. Every facet of Repetto Eau de Toilette was crafted to remain entirely faithful to the spirit of Repetto and its love of dance. A true choreography in three movements, Repetto Eau de Toilette moves us with its graceful impulse and subtle femininity, like a satin ribbon that brushes and caresses us…

In every woman sleeps a dancer, and the step from the Art of Dance to the Art of Perfume is a small one. Interparfums on Repetto Eau de Toilette Repetto.

When Repetto's satin rose enters the perfumed dance of sparkling fruits and beautiful sensuality…

I sought to create a handcrafted effect by combining a selection of luxurious and authentic raw materials. A powdery, musky rose, a true quintessence of femininity. Olivier Polge on Repetto Eau de Toilette.

The authenticity of Repetto Eau de Toilette is indeed marked by the quality of its raw material selection, including of course rose, a favorite ingredient of Olivier Polge but also of his future house, Chanel of course.

Furthermore, Repetto Eau de Toilette is built to render the grace of a dance choreography. First, the top notes are sparkling and radiant thanks to pear and cherry blossom. Then the music softens, the movement slows, and grace bursts forth in a heart of roses and orange blossom with radiant light. Finally, the ballet highlights the sensuality of the dancer's movements, her fiery beauty magnified by patchouli, vanilla, white musks and amber woods.

Later, Repetto and Olivier Polge would offer a more sensual take on the Eau de Toilette, yet the grace of movement remains, firmly establishing the house of Repetto among the ranks of great perfumery.
