Repetto Eau de Parfum

The feminine Eau de Parfum from the house of dance. Picture this: the curtain is about to rise. Yet this is not the first performance of the Repetto woman. Indeed, after crafting an eau de toilette, the house chose to reveal the image of a more assertive woman, at the height of her grace and femininity, like a prima ballerina.

Released in 2014, Eau de Parfum Repetto is the first fragrance by the Repetto brand. Eau de Parfum Repetto is a bold and delicate fragrance, the fragrance of a prima ballerina. Indeed, the Repetto brand stands out, as it originated in the making of dance shoes, crafted by Rose Repetto for her son, dancer and choreographer Roland Petit. The world of dance, the brand's realm of choice, is therefore constantly present here, since even the face of the campaign, Dorothée Gilbert, is a prima ballerina. Eau de Parfum Repetto draws us into a whirlwind of happiness, a whirlwind of emotions.

Olivier Polge creates the brand's first fragrance, Eau de Parfum Repetto

If the name Olivier Polge sounds familiar, it is because he is now the official perfumer of the house of Chanel, having succeeded his father, Jacques Polge. Although Olivier Polge trained in art history, he began his career as a perfumer working at Charabot, in Grasse. In 1998, he joined the prestigious company IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances), but Olivier Polge was only propelled into the spotlight after creating Dior Homme in 2005. Then, in 2009, Olivier Polge won the International Perfume Prize. Olivier Polge is responsible for major olfactory successes such as Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf, La Vie est Belle by Lancôme, and N°5 L'Eau by Chanel.

Eau de Parfum Repetto, a delicate floral-fruity combination

Eau de Parfum Repetto opens on the very sweet note of plum, blended with the softness of cherry blossom. The origin of the plum tree is uncertain, but it is believed that the plum is a hybrid between a European plum species and another of Asian origin. It is known that the Egyptians loved cultivating plum trees, as did the Romans, who discovered several plum varieties. In the Renaissance, the plum was one of the most prized fruits, enjoyed in tarts, custards and jams. In perfumery, the scent of plum is reproduced synthetically in the laboratory. It releases sweet, floral, velvety and syrupy tonalities. Then, the heart of Eau de Parfum Repetto is ultra-feminine, composed of rose and orange blossom. Finally, the base of Eau de Parfum Repetto is laden with vanilla, white musks and amber woods. Originating in Mexico, the vanilla pod was used by the Aztecs to flavor cocoa drink. Vanilla was introduced to France in 1812, thanks to a gardener named Milier. In 1819, vanilla was introduced to Reunion Island, giving rise to the famous Bourbon vanilla. In fact, vanilla from Reunion Island would be grouped with that of the Comoros and Madagascar under the global label Vanille Bourbon starting in 1964. In perfumery, vanilla offers floral, sweet and balsamic tonalities. Because it symbolizes the elegance of dancers and the refinement of movement, the bottle here pushes femininity to its peak.
