The soft and fresh Daisy or Dot are far removed from this impertinent Decadence, yet this does not prevent this brilliant gourmand oriental from offering the same originality of tone and composition as his previous fragrances. A new chapter in the perfumery of the talented Marc Jacobs opens with this fragrance Decadence signed by Annie Buzantian.

Decadence, a scandalous fragrance as seductive as it is impertinent

Marc Jacobs, a fashion designer since 1988 and a fragrance house since 2000, offers soft and luminous fragrances in the image of the famous floral Daisy or a playful Lola. This time, the young woman bottled up has little innocence left and seems instead to have transformed into a fascinating, unsettling and terribly decadent seductress, Decadence.

In order to launch this unsettling fragrance, Decadence had to make a striking entrance in advertising. This has been achieved with a face of the campaign as beautiful as she is sulfurous, Adriana Lima, under the expert lens of Steven Meisel. The filmed world of Decadence is dark, mysterious and plays with the trend of eroticizing fragrances. Like the perfumed composition of the heroine of Fifty Shades of Grey, Decadence dares everything, and Adriana Lima does not hesitate to use her charms for images that are highly suggestive and terribly glamorous.

The visual for Decadence likewise remains steeped in dark mystery and languid poses, in which the face of the campaign grips the minaudière bottle of Decadence between her teeth like an obscure object of desire. Flashiness and staging are the order of the day for a Decadence that proves both original and ultra-feminine.

The next story to tell was to be that of this blend of pleasure and luxury. I had to tell it in a bold way (…), with a great deal of nonchalance, a sense of impertinent glamour, rather than glamour taken at face value. I wanted to create something unconventional, and that is what Decadence is. Marc Jacobs for Decadence.

A fruity-gourmand oriental with the taste of Decadence

In offering a fragrance with a name as already evocative as Decadence, Marc Jacobs had to propose a bottle as flashy as it is original, and the pretty emerald bag-shaped bottle is exactly what one could have hoped for from Decadence.

As for the fragrance, it already opens the doors to its sexy world by offering ultra-fresh top notes of bergamot paired with powerfully spicy notes of saffron. At the heart, plum and strawberry bring their sweet and gourmand facets to an elegant floral cocktail of Bulgarian rose, sambac jasmine and iris root. The sensual depths exhale their subtle scents around notes of amber and patchouli, punctuated by a touch of impertinence and innocence given by caramel.

A true fragrance for a glamorous and sensual woman, the beautiful gourmand oriental Decadence plays on its torrid warmth to better surprise with its gourmand power and floral elegance.
