Pour un Homme by Caron, an iconic fragrance. The founder of the Caron house was named Ernest Daltroff. He was born in 1867 in Haute-Loire. In 1902, together with his brother Raoul, he acquired a haberdashery-perfumery, the Émilia house.

Neil Chapman, The Black Narcissus
Neil Chapman, in August 2019, describes a French lavender at once subtle and assertive, bound to a musky vanilla touched with civet, that will not suit everyone. Presented at his book launch as an example of a fine lavender, it turned sour on some skins.
On his own skin, he finds an intimate, soothing sensuality, more androgynous than virile, with a quiet self-assurance, far from the strictly masculine image its name carries.
