Monsieur de Givenchy, a complex composition

Francis Fabron was in charge of developing the house's first masculine fragrance. The composition of Monsieur de Givenchy combines softness, complexity and refinement, and depicts masculine elegance. Monsieur de Givenchy opens with a citrus start of lemon, bergamot, limetta and neroli. At this stage, one might think of a traditional eau de Cologne. This is nevertheless where the difference emerges with the arrival of very spicy notes, such as cinnamon, clove and pepper. The heart then becomes very aromatic thanks to the presence of lavender, sage and verbena. The base, meanwhile, is strongly woody. It is composed of oakmoss, sandalwood, musk and civet, which gives the composition a strong sensuality. As for the bottle, it has been reworked and resembles the emblematic bottles of the Les Parfums Mythiques collection, of which Monsieur de Givenchy is now part.
